Be Consistent

I started off the New Year with ambitions to be more consistent to committing to the things I want to accomplish. A few of those things were to establish healthier eating habits, increasing my prayer life and deepening my relationship with Jesus, to exercise on a regular basis, and to make a blog post at least twice a month, ideally three times. This month I started off lagging behind in my goals, I am not one for excuses but The month of January came with unexpected twists and turns, but it all out worked out in the end.
Nonetheless, I am embracing February with open arms; ready to set out what I aspire to achieve throughout this 2018 year. My personal motto is to build and operate in my God given calling. We as Christians all have the same purpose which is to worship God and to glorify Him in all that we say and do, but the Lord gives us each an individual calling which we must seek out clarity for what that is. “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:24).
It can be unclear and even frustrating to discover our calling, but I believe with prayer, faith and patience The Lord will make it clear to us in due time what He wants us to do. We ought to incline our ear to not only listen to God but also to obey Him. For me personally, I believe that God is calling me to sow into college students by mentoring and living out the gospel as an example. I’m an admissions counselor for a reason, I represent Kent State University but furthermore, I also represent Jesus Christ.
